Module 02 · Practice

Zoom into your mind.

This week’s practice is to stand up your own personal data infrastructure and draw the first map of your mind with it. Mycelium is free and open source, and everything it holds belongs to you.

1
Get Mycelium

Create your identity at mycelium.id. It is your own: no platform holds it for you, and no one reads it but you.

Get mycelium.id
2
Feed it a first week

Bring your daily journal into Mycelium: each morning’s page, each evening’s reflection. A mindscape drawn from a single day is a guess; drawn from a week, it starts to be a portrait.

3
Draw the first map of your mind

Open your mindscape and look at what constellates: which themes cluster, what sits close to what, which islands stand alone. Do not edit it into what you would prefer. The examined life begins with the map as it is.

4
Name three regions

In your journal, name the three largest regions of the map in your own words, and one sentence each on how they got there. You will return to these names in module 03, when the character work begins.

The module’s guided walkthrough arrives with its lesson; these steps stand on their own. Your mindscape stays in your Mycelium, always.
