Curious Life

Data privacy policy.

Your inner life is the subject of this practice, so we hold what little data we keep with care. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what stays yours.

What we hold

We do not store raw IP addresses, we do not fingerprint devices, and we never sell data to anyone.

Why we hold it

To run the practice: keeping your record, syncing it across the devices you sign in on, answering your applications, delivering what you bought, and sending the emails you asked for. That is the whole list.

Cookies and local storage

We use functional cookies and local storage only: your session, your device identifier, and your preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the pages are used in aggregate.

Who processes it for us

Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

The field and the leaderboard

Shared views of the field show anonymised numbers: statistical placements with no name, email, or identity attached. Your alias appears only if you set one, and only where you chose to appear.

How long we keep it

As long as your record lives, so it can keep growing. You can delete your account yourself: the Delete account door on your profile page (/field, shown once you are logged in) removes your login, the links between your devices, and the purchase records tied to your email, in one confirmed tap. Anonymous measurements stay in the archive with nothing tying them to you. The Erase everything on this device button on the same page is a different door: it clears what this browser holds, recordings, calibration, settings and your identity on this device, and changes nothing on our side. For anything else you want corrected or erased, write to us and we will do it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected] and we will answer. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
